You don’t have to do the cheesy nautical theme…instead, change your colors, add some texture, and find a couple of key pieces, and you can tie it all together for the perfect coastal look.
Yes, I know that summer doesn’t officially start until June 21, but now is the time to grab all of those summer pieces. I started with our mantel by adding a picture that I had taken a couple of years ago in Laguna Beach. I uploaded it to Costco Photo Center and had it printed on canvas. They’re very inexpensive and great quality. I loved the blue tones from the ocean and the sky so much that I decided to use those colors throughout our home. I then anchored the artwork with the lanterns, providing balance to the mantel. It was so easy and created the perfect beachy feel. Remember, when arranging your home accents, keep them in odd numbers. This will create a center to your arrangement.
