School life for the boys…A new way of learning!

Remember the days when we were in elementary school and homework was done with a piece of paper and a yellow No. 2 pencil?? Let me tell you…times have definitely changed! With the boys now in kindergarten and second grade, many of the homework assignments need to be completed on a computer. I knew that this time was coming, but I definitely did not think it would be this early. Thus, we were in need of a homework station; a designated spot where the boys could easily access their work, and eliminate those excuses.

I began setting up a new area in our playroom with these desks. Not only are they affordable, but sturdy and just the perfect size. Next, I paired them with these white metal chairs, added a desk organizer, some pencils, a few journals, and a pair of new Dell Chromebooks. After doing some research, we found that the Dell Chromebooks were the most durable and affordable options for their age group. They are extremely easy to use and the boys can easily log their 20 minutes a day on Imagine Learning. A process that was once a hassle (sharing mom’s laptop), has become a fun and easy experience that we all enjoy.

Here are some items you can add to create your child’s own homework station…

Creating a designated area for homework has definitely helped our family; I encourage you to do the same. For daily fashion and home decor, be sure to follow me on Instagram.
