Happy 4th of July everyone! We just returned from a mini stay-cation at the Marriott Marquis Houston and it was amazing! We arrived early and were so excited to find out that our room was ready :). We stayed in one of their executive suites, which was perfect for a family of five. It dons a king bed in a private bedroom, a separate living room with a sofa sleeper (perfect for the kids), and a bar area with seating for four. The bathroom is pretty awesome as well with sweeping views of Minute Maid Stadium! The kids enjoyed taking a bubble bath while looking out onto the city.
However the best part of the hotel was…the TEXAS-shaped lazy river! We all hopped into inner tubes and floated around, enjoying the skyline, breeze, and city view. We finished the day by enjoying dinner at Biggio’s Houston and had breakfast the next day at Walker Street Kitchen, both were great eats. I highly recommend taking a night or two to enjoy this wonderful local spot. It was such a fun getaway for our family!

After arriving home, we spent our last night of vacay with one of Vince’s tasty cocktails. He’s all about using the summer fruits to give that extra summer feeling and today, his fruits of choice were pineapple and strawberries :). Be sure to give it a try, I really think you’ll enjoy it!
