It’s pool season and time to put on your swimsuit! To be honest with you, I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year…I love that the skies are sunny and blue, we get to hang out by the pool, and there are no schedules. However I am not a fan of the intense HEAT, having to shave my legs every day (lol), and having to put on a swimsuit (insert cringe-face here). I feel like no matter the shape that you’re in, a swimsuit can be just plain uncomfortable.
So, I’ve been on a mission to find a swimsuit that I feel confident wearing. To do this, I’ve kept in mind three characteristics…coverage, quality, and print. For me, coverage is imperative. As a mom of three, I’m either sitting in the water, having a relay race, or playing Marco Polo. I don’t want to be worrying about my top or bottom not giving me appropriate coverage, lol. Quality is also necessary, as I’ll be living in this swimsuit for the bulk of the summer. If the kids had it their way, we would be at the pool every single day this summer season. Lastly, I find a great print; this can help disguise areas of concern and allows you to show your personality.
Now, I don’t know about you, but when I’m looking at a swimsuit, the first image I scroll to is the bottom, lol. If it’s not covering the bum, then I’m on to the next suit. Seriously though, all retailers should just make that the first photo!
Fortunately, with all of these criteria in mind, I have found some great options. Whether your looking for a bikini, a one-piece, or a cover-up, you’ll be sure to feel confident and comfortable in any of these options.
