Organization…it’s something many of us desire but the thought of attempting it seems overwhelming. Not knowing where to start, how to do it or just the simple task of going through items can all seem daunting. For me, I have to be organized. I can’t function until I have a project or space organized and complete…it drives me crazy, lol. The good news is, you don’t have to spend a lot of money or make it into a huge project to get it done. Here are some simple changes I did throughout our home that have helped me and the kids function a little smoother…
Pantry…
The kids love their snacks! Making it easy for them to access is crucial. I simply used a wire grid stacking shelf and these sterilite storage boxes for their breakfast bars, apple sauces and pre-packed snacks. Be sure to put it on a shelf that they can reach!
We love our crackers, chex mix and cereal! I was tired of the boxes so I found these sistema cereal containers. They’re so easy to access and refill. Plus, it’s super easy for the kids to pour and it helps preserve the food.
Mudroom…
About a month ago, I shared with you our mudroom renovations. We are so happy with how it turned out and it’s functioning perfectly! I recently added these metal file organizers to keep the crazy amount of fliers and homework the kids bring home from school. I was tired of the piles of paper on the counters and trying to keep it all organized. Not only are the metal file organizers cute and come in lots of fun colors, but they keep the kids organized. Making them accessible for the kids has helped too so they can easily grab their homework.
Closet…
In a dream world, my closet would have custom shelves and racks. Then there’s reality and the cost of such a dream, lol. I was happy to share these with you last week on my Instagram and wanted to add them here. These shoe racks provide great storage, organization and are great quality. Love them!
Hope you find these helpful and can provide a little organization for you and your family!
XOXO,
