Living Room Update for Under $100

The living room…the second most used room in the home. It’s where we kick up our feet after a long day at work, cuddle up on the couch to watch a great show, or reconnect with our family members. I know that for some, home decor is optional. But, I can almost guarantee that there is one thing in every living room: a family photo. Today, I want to share how I updated our family photos for the holiday season and show some of the frames that I used to update them.

This has been on my to-do list for over a year and it feels so good to have it done. I now enjoy taking in the space, looking at the pictures, and remembering all of the happy moments. The living room is so much more than just a place that we sit, it reflects our family, both in the past and the present.

My first step in tackling this project was ordering the pictures. I personally love Shutterfly and how quickly I can get pictures delivered to me. Next, I selected a variety of frames of different sizes with a whitewash finish. I selected this particular finish because I wanted a neutral look that was timeless and classic. Also, these frames were the perfect look and price! To add a little dimension, I covered some old books using Kraft wrapping paper to add varying heights for the frames. It was such an easy project and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!
