Home Accents all under $50!

Home accents are often the forgotten pieces when it comes to decorating your home. You purchase the sofa, the coffee table, the dining room table, and maybe a couple pieces of artwork. But what about all the “blank space?” Home accents are great ways to add warmth to a space and show off your personality. Some might look at home accents as clutter, but if you do it tastefully with the right number of pieces, it can look absolutely beautiful.

Here are a couple rules of thumb…

Odd numbers…things arranged in odd numbers are more appealing to the eye. This provides a center and balances the space; ultimately creating a zen environment.

Texture…you want pieces that have a look or feel of warmth. This can be done by mixing textures within your grouping. For example, a woven tray paired with a faux terra-cotta plant and a metal candle all accentuate each others texture; adding balance to the grouping.

Personality…you want pieces that reflect you! As mentioned, home accents add warmth to your home. Whether it’s a piece from a vacation, a gift or something that just catches your eye, it should compliment your style.

So now that you know how to add home accents to your home, here are a couple of my current favorites…

Texas Pillow Cover | Herb Pots & Tray | CA Dreaming Pillow Cover

Natural Serve Tray | Faux Potted Lavender | Gingham Throw Blankets

Glass Candleholder | Burnished Candle | Wooden Jacks Set

Tassel Prayer Beads | Rattan Lantern | Plaid Pillow Cover

Wood Letters | Velvet Pillow Cover

I hope some of these home accents have caught your eye and you can add them to your home! For more home decoration tips, be sure to check out a past article on “Refreshing your Home.
